iTutor has a proprietary Learning Management System to track, manage, and deliver virtual education to a wide range of schools and students.  In 2021, iTutor started a complete overhaul of the system.  As the sole product designer, I worked to create new features, update usability, and improve the relationship between students, educators, and schools. 

Messaging

Working with the product team, I designed a messaging platform that was both lightweight and familiar.  Most of iTutor’s users are on desktop, but the design also works well on mobile.

User Management is a major function of the LMS. 

iTutor has 4 main users: Educators, Students, School Administrators, and iTutor Administrators.  I worked across teams to understand how user information is used by various stakeholders.  Then I designed a separate view for each type of user, based on privacy limitations and information needed.

Educator Preferences

Allowing educators to specify their scheduling preferences and credentials, we were then able to start matching them with the appropriate teaching opportunities.
